Buddhism is renowned for the doctrine of no-self, but another doctrine also developed, seemingly at odds with the notion of emptiness. Generally referred to as the tathagatagarbha or “buddha-nature”, it holds that all beings (or, according to some interpretations, most beings) possess within them the seed of enlightenment. In many texts, this “buddha-nature” is described as something real and substantial, something very much like a self. This was a problem that generated much discussion about the tathagatagarbha, with many stating the very absence of a self was the true “buddha-nature”.
Another term for the nature of reality in the Buddhist lexicon is dharmadhatu, which might be translated as something like “sphere of reality”, that truth which, when understood, brings enlightenment. Some tend to regard dharmadhatu as another synonym for emptiness, while others see it as a more substantial reality, eternal and pure, said to lie within each being in the universe, waiting to be uncovered.
lyrics
Shatter the failing husk of flesh
With the diamond of samadhi.
Cleanse the cause of samsara,
Unveil the purity of the dharmadhatu.
For it is not produced,
It never ceases.
It is stainless,
In the beginning, middle and end.
With stainless jewels,
Blazing in the sun of the Buddha’s hand.
He bestows consecration to his foremost children.
From his body, rays of light
Spontaneously appear…
And open the doors of those who abide in dark obscuration.
A mind of clear light,
Purified by the fires of Wisdom.
Free from all conceptions,
Praising the purity of the dharmadhatu.
For it is not produced,
It never ceases.
It is virtuous,
In the beginning, middle and end.
And it is not far,
It is not near.
It neither comes nor goes,
Encaged in afflictions, it is seen or not seen.
Through knowing reality, there is liberation.
Always abide in oneself.

Like lions among men, THE FIRSTBORN come forth as a true force of nature within a movement where mindless, continuous
repetition of the same old formulas is often mistaken for talent. The new album «Lions Among Men» is now out and it represents the ultimate stride forward in the path treaded since the band’s inception in the mid-nineties, following 2008’s critically acclaimed «The Noble Search»....more

An interesting fusion of black metal and jazz, with inspiration from various other forms of metal. There is a lot to like here, and many pleasant surprises. However, it does not always seem to form a cohesive whole. spawnofchaos
The Philly trio have been making technical but not impenetrable instrumental metal for nearly two decades. Their latest shreds, of course. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 8, 2016

One day I came across this title on YouTube and it intrigued me. The nostalgy hit me so much that I went back on IRC in 2019. Thanks to that, I met my girlfriend after being single for 15 years, and moved to a new town 6 hours away from me. All of that because of a click on that song.
Music has the power to change people's life and this track is my personal proof of that fact. swipesomething
