All who traverse the path to buddhahood must develop extraordinary compassion and extraordinary wisdom, yet there is an apparent contradiction between these two. Compassion leads to a dedication to provide assistance to other persons, yet wisdom brings the understanding that ultimately there are no persons because there is no self.
The Buddha described a middle path between these extremes, as an inexpressible reality between permanence and impermanence, self and no-self. If that reality could be expressed, it might be called emptiness.
lyrics
You who seek,
Reach for the Perfection of Wisdom.
Emptiness is itself empty,
Yet actions are fruitious.
You who seek,
Accept the non-self, tolerantly.
Firmly convinced of emptiness,
Yet compassionate towards all beings.
Bodhisattva,
Between permanence
And impermanence.
Bodhisattva,
Between self
And non-self.
Such is the way of Śūnyatā:
Emptiness is itself empty.
Empty.
In the past. In the present. In the future.
Empty.
Bodhisattva,
Between wisdom
And compassion.
Bodhisattva,
Between existence
And non-existence.
Such is the way of Śūnyatā:
Emptiness is not nothingness.
You who seek,
Fear not the void.
For emptiness is itself empty,
And pure.

Like lions among men, THE FIRSTBORN come forth as a true force of nature within a movement where mindless, continuous
repetition of the same old formulas is often mistaken for talent. The new album «Lions Among Men» is now out and it represents the ultimate stride forward in the path treaded since the band’s inception in the mid-nineties, following 2008’s critically acclaimed «The Noble Search»....more

An interesting fusion of black metal and jazz, with inspiration from various other forms of metal. There is a lot to like here, and many pleasant surprises. However, it does not always seem to form a cohesive whole. spawnofchaos
The Philly trio have been making technical but not impenetrable instrumental metal for nearly two decades. Their latest shreds, of course. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 8, 2016

One day I came across this title on YouTube and it intrigued me. The nostalgy hit me so much that I went back on IRC in 2019. Thanks to that, I met my girlfriend after being single for 15 years, and moved to a new town 6 hours away from me. All of that because of a click on that song.
Music has the power to change people's life and this track is my personal proof of that fact. swipesomething
